MQM Limits political activities to Karachi, Hyderabad

MQM limits political activities to Karachi, Hyderabad
ISLAMABAD - After being spotted in the web of plethora of allegations including Scotland Yard's raid at party head office in the UK, the MQM cutting itself to its size has adopted a new strategy to limit its political activities to Karachi and Hyderabad only. MQM once claiming to expand its hegemony to Punjab and other provinces has almost its activities in other provinces for unknown period, sources in MQM told The Nation.  The MQM currently facing enormous external and internal pressure has fast turning into Mohajir Qaumi Movement (MQM) as other party offices except those in Karachi and Hyderabad are not being included in consultation of any 'important' matters, said a senior member of party desiring not to be named.
With all other matters, the Scotland Yard's raid at a party head office in the UK in connection with Imran Farooq's murder case is being considered as the worst ever crisis for the party.
The MQM sources said that party members from Punjab and other provinces have not be informed about new strategy for not involving them in different important party matters.
It merits mentioning here that MQM, claiming to raise its power, had fielded 671 candidates for seats of national and provincial assemblies across the country in recent general elections.
